PowerEdge 1800 + WinXP Pro (SP2) installation ???

Hi everyone,

 

I wonder if anyone has installed a Windows XP Pro (SP2) on a PowerEdge 1800 successfully?

Please share your story.

 

I know that WinXP Pro on PE1800 is not officially supported by Dell. I wonder if such installation

(PE1800+WinXP pro) is durable or not?

 

I have successfully installed 1) WinXP-x64 evaluation version, 2) Fedora Core 4,  3) Windows 2003

on PE1800 though.

 

When I install WinXP Pro, I receive a error message saying hardware incompatibility problem.

Something called  pci..xxx (driver for PCI?) not found.

 

Any idea?
