PowerEdge 1850 Beep Codes

I have a PowerEdge 1850 that when its powered on gives 1 short beep and endless long beeps.  The system boots fine up until it looks for drives then it fails so my guess the RAID controller. I was looking to see if anyone had some ways I could confirm this was the case one way or the other.

Thanks,

Paul

Thanks for the info, but am I missing something?  I don't see this issue mention here.

Thanks,

Paul

No, you're most likely not missing anything, it is most likely one or more drives offline. Go into the RAID controller by hitting ctrl+m when you see it on the screen. Once at the management menu, you should be able to go to objects and then physical drives. Once it is done scanning, it will show the status of the drives.
