PowerEdge 1950 Processor Upgrade
I have a Poweredge 1950 with duel Xeon 5160 duel-core processors installed, is it possible to upgrade these processors to Xeon X5460 quad-core processors?

Yes, but you'll need to make sure you have the third motherboard release for the system or it will not work.
Based on the PROC type you currently have, you should have the PE 1950III MB. You can also check the system chassis and look for 'III' on it to be certain.
