PowerEdge 2500 Power distribution board

Does anyone have or had a problem with the redundant ac power (Power distribution board) on a dell poweredge 2500 server?

I have had a problem quite some time ago where the second input would not work.
Normally the redundant supply indicator flashes showing that it is on standby. In this case
the LED did not flash and when the first supply was removed the server turned off.

As this was on a server that we had just purchased from one of our brokers we had another redundant
power supply PCB supplied to us.

The problem I had was that it would shut off after a few seconds. Unpluggin one of the power cords made it work until we got the replacement power board.

I tried unplugging one of the power cords and the unit would still recycle after ten minutes or so. I even tried to disable the redundant feature in the dell management software but it did not help. If I hold the power button in the unit will not cycle off.

I guess I should have been more precise.

If you have dual power then remove 1 cord.

If you have triple or quad power remove all but 1 cord.

Try each one individually or remove all the supplies except 1 and see if it stays on.
