.net 2.0 - will do.

do you happen to know the most recent relevant OpenManage package to use?  i think the latest one for gen 6 machines 5.4.1.

also, is it the SUU (server update) package that will have the drivers that I need?  I'd also be looking for the OpenArray Manager as I use the built-in PERC RAID controllers on my machines.

THanks

Hi!

On issue 1:
I suggest you install .net framework 2.0 (from microsoft) before running the broadcom driver.
If that doesn't work, suggest you call Dell Support.

On the second issue, it may be solved by installing OpenManage Server Administrator.

There are several ISO files on the dell support website under Drivers and Downloads, which contain either the OpenManage software, or which also includes all drivers, firmware etc. You might try those.

Did you ever figure out what the three PCI devices were in the hardware manager on 2003? I have the same issue. I ran the SUU package but two of them are still there.

I have the same issue, the 3 drivers missing  for the PCI devices.  No idea what they are, or what to download for them.  Any info will help!

Note about the network driver ... you cannot install this from Device Manager.  You must first download and extract the files in the above link, then run C:\Broadcom\Driver...\setup.exe.

PCI\VEN_15BC&DEV_2530&SUBSYS_253015BC&REV_00\3&13C0B0C5&0&22

Do you have Server 2003 on your server?  Just reinstalled or just added new hardware?

Near as I can tell from what little information there is on that device is that it is an Agilent device (possible manufactured with HP name on it) - a communications device of some kind.  I was led to believe that it was one of these two devices ... can you confirm you have one in your system?

http://www.home.agilent.com/agilent/facet.jspx?cc=US&lc=eng&k=driver+2350&sm=g

Below is a link to software for it, although it does not appear to offer support for server Operating Systems.

http://www.home.agilent.com/agilent/editorial.jspx?cc=US&lc=eng&ckey=1000000416:epsg:sud&nid=-536900573.536882012&id=1000000416:epsg:sud

If this is not the case, then I'm not sure I can help you figure it out.  If you have any cards in your system, take them out to see if the unknown device disappears.

If there are no cards in the system, then I would use the System Build and Update Utility on the Drivers and Downloads page (under Systems Management) to reinstall.

Installing Dell Openmange should take care of the issue......I believe it's missing the drivers for the DRAC.

I don't know what problem you are having, but I'm assuming you just installed Server 2003 and have some unknown devices showing in Device Manager.

Download and run to extract the files, then run C:\Openmanage\windows\setup.exe.  This will load drivers for the ERA (Embedded Remote Access) controller.

I'm using 2008 Standard 32-bit version.  When I looked up the device Manufacturer based on the hardware ID, I found it was Dell.  You can look up Vendor and Hardware IDs here:  http://www.pcidatabase.com/vendor_details.php?id=273

I need the drivers for the following devices:

Device 1

PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_0008&SUBSYS_00081028&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_0008&SUBSYS_00081028
PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_0008&CC_FF0000
PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_0008&CC_FF00

Device 2

PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_000C&SUBSYS_000C1028&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_000C&SUBSYS_000C1028
PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_000C&CC_FF0000
PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_000C&CC_FF00

Device 3

PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_000D&SUBSYS_000D1028&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_000D&SUBSYS_000D1028
PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_000D&CC_FF0000
PCI\VEN_1028&DEV_000D&CC_FF00

As far as I can surmise, 000C is:

Chip Number: 53C885 23800 SCSI Adapter
Chip Description: Embedded Systems Management Device 4
Notes: In most cases this means the Backplane Driver

000D is:

Chip Number: ?
Chip Description: LSI53C895 PCI to Ultra2 SCSI I/O Processor with LVD Link
Notes: In most cases this means the Backplane Driver

0008 is:

Chip Number: PowerEdge 3/Di
Chip Description: RAC Virtual UART Port

So it looks as though I need the backplane driver.... if I can find it.

Right-click on the device in Device Manager, Properties, Details tab, change drop-down to Hardware Ids and post the VEN and DEV ID's here.
