Current BIOS is A21

I tried to update ESM using floppy disk but it has message "Baseboard Management Controller is not available

I also want to update ERA firmware but I don't know how to do with the file "firmimg.bm1".

Any suggestion ?

Thanks.

Can you access the card over the LAN-Port with a browser on another computer? If so you can download any windows TFTP server (I used SolarWinds-TFTP-Server - is free and easy to configure). In your TFTP server-software you configure your basefolder with the bm1 file in it. In your browser you go to your DRAC homepage. There you must find a section "Update" (it's normaly the last link on the right) or something like that where you have to type in your TFTP-server-IP. Then it should update - takes about 5-10 minutes.

I will try your suggestion.

Is there any setting to skip pressing F1 displayed on this error ? my server is placed at data-center and I manage it remotely.

Thanks.

No, there is no setting to avoid pressing F1. As it's managed remotely, you should be able to do this through the DRAC. Still a bit frustrating, but at least you don't need to physically be at the system.

I've sucessfully update ERA by using floppy-pack "d_0822v337_bm". Now I'm trying to access ERA/DRAC to control server as your mention. Can I access DRAC over Internet or only can access it locally (LAN) ? As I understand, I have to connect with 2650 via ERA RJ45 port.

Do you have configured it? If you boot your server, there appears a prompt where you have to press CTRL+A (I think) there you can configure the IP-Adress for it. Normally you configure it with a LAN-IP. I wouldn't recommend you to use a public IP because then everybody who knows this IP could probably connect to your DRAC. If you still give the DRAC a public IP you should configure your firewall so that only certain external IPs are allowed to connect.

Ctrl+A is SCSI setup ultilities, there isn't feature in boot process to setup DRAC.

You are correct, my problem now is don't know IP-address of DRAC, I tried to use default IP 192.168.20.1 as listed in user-guide but it's fail.

- Following RAC Install & Setup Guide, we can config RAC network settings by pressing Ctrl+D in 5 seconds during boot to activate RAC Option ROM, I tried but nothing happend.

- After install OMSA, I don't find "Remote Access Controller" under "Main System Chassis" menu.

What should I do next ?

hmm, with OMSA installed you should have a commandline-tool called racadm. with this tool you should be able to change the IP and other configs. But I only touched this tool once and can not really help you with this one. A quick google showed me those usable results.

Looking carefully on the riser board, I found it has dust and a bit rust. I used RP7 cleaning liquid to clean the board and update RAC firmware. Everything's OK now.
