PowerEdge 2900 "E1000 Failsafe, Call Support E1215 1.8V Pwr Gd."
I have recently power up my server after seven years. Before seven years it works perfectly. Suddendly i have upgraded my server. So it is kept in rest for backup server.
When i power it on it works for five six hours. Then i shut it down for rest of configuration to do it next day. When I power it up again next day it work for one and half hour and shut down automatically without any message.
When I tried to power it up again I get a "E1000 Failsafe, Call Support E1215 1.8V Pwr Gd."
Could this be associated with an on-board battery issue or a power component failure??
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Amar47550,
The E1215 normally indicates the 1.8 voltage regulator has failed, but I would suggest starting by trying the server at it's minimum hardware required to start. That is removing everything from the server but the following;
•System board
•Processor (with heatsink) in socket 1
•One stick of memory in slot 1
•1 power supply
•Power distribution board
•Control panel (to turn on system)
Try powering it on after that and see if the issue is resolved, if not then it is likely a motherboard issue.
Let me know what you see.
