PowerEdge 400SC - Will Not Boot W/ Blinking Power Button
My business' main server went down last night. I came in to inspect the box and the power-button on the front of the system was blinking with an amber light and the computer wasn't on. I tried many different things to try and get it to power back up:
I held down the power button, till the light goes off. When I press it again, the button starts blinking and nothing powers up.
I have unplugged the entire power-supply over night and tried to power-up again with the same results -- an amber blinking power-button with no power-up to the system.
I haven't had any prior trouble with this server, and this unexpected down, is rather confusing.
Any help would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time and advice.

Verify the 4 diagnostic led's at the back and inform if you ear any beep sequence.

Check the capacitors around your processor on the motherboard. On these boards there are quite a few posts about people finding that their 400SC has bulging capacitors which can cause symptoms like yours.
Some more information about your powerbutton led color and the previously mentioned diagnostic leds (on the back panel) can be found here.
