PowerEdge R220 will not boot after Windows Server 2012 Updates

Question

Last night we ran windows updates on one of our DCs. There were no indications of problems during the updates.  After rebooting Windows would not start.  We could see Window starting but then it failed. The error code was 80004001.  We tried running the Windows Refresh but Windows could not see the Windows partition and would not proceed.  Another message we saw said that the drive where Windows is installed is locked.

Hey flash, thanks for the reply. Yeah we tried all that. Got on phone with Microsoft ($500) just to learn we have to rebuild DC from scratch.

Have you tried Last Known Good Configuration? Startup Repair? Safe Mode?
