PowerEdge R410 Memory
Hoping someone can clarify this for me....
Looking to upgrade the memory size in my PowerEdge R410....
Can I use ECC Memory in this Server (10600E) DDR3?
If so, can I use 4 GB and 2 GB Sticks?
If Yes to that, what is best config for (4) 4 GB and (4) 2 GB Sticks in the system?
Thanks for the help!

Hello,
https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_poweredge/poweredge-r410_owner%27s%20manual_en-us.pdf
Above is the link to the owner's manual for the server. The memory section starts on page 119.
The manual goes into further detail about population, too. The config you'd want to use would also need to be dictated by the processor configuration. If this is a 2 proc config, you can use all the slots. I'd put a 4GB DIMM in A1, A2, B1, and B2. The 2GB sticks I would install in A3, A4, B3, and B4.
Now, this isn't a supported memory configuration. The supported configurations are made up of all matching DIMMs. But, I would think this is still worth testing.
