PowerEdge R430 Processor
Hi everyone!
I am posting here to request support related to a Dell PowerEdge R430 Processor. It currently has an Intel Xeon CPU E5-2603 v3 1.60 GHz but I want to upgrade it, I found an Intel Xeon E5-2623 v3 3 GHz.
This server can have 2 Processors but I dont know if both must be the same frecuency.
I will aprecciate your responses.

Hello,
All the supported dual processor configurations are for matched processors. I wouldn't expect mismatched processors to complete POST.

Attached is the owner's manual. Page 126 will detail the processor installation procedure. There wouldn't be any firmware settings to need changing.

Alright! So I have to replace the 1.6 GHz Processor to 3 GHz Processor.
Could you please explain me the steps to do that? What parameters do I have to prepare before changing the processor?
