I would recommend testing the system at a minimum to POST configuration. The min to POST config is:
System Board
Expansion Riser
CPU1/ with heat sink (min for troubleshooting)
One memory DIMM in DIMM 0 slot
Control Panel w/cable
1 PSU, PDB, and PSU-to-PDB connector board
Provided you see the same behavior in this configuration, I would then replace CPU1 with CPU2, then swap the memory DIMM as well. Failing that, you may need to look at hardware replacements.
That set of LEDs isn't one support uses for troubleshooting, so I unfortunately don't have records to translate what that LED set may be trying to communicate.
The diagnostic LEDs we do use are located on the front panel, the hard drives, the NIC ports, and the PSU. Are you getting any LED activity with any of those? If not, I would recommend taking the system to the minimum to POST configuration, powering it up, then checking to see if you get a change in behavior.
if you did the work without being properly grounded via a static grounding strap, my guess is that a static discharge occurred and has fried something. You've done proper tshooting to see what the issue is. The only thing left to try is one CPU at a time in CPU socket 1, but I would be surprised if thats the issue. After trying that, the only thing left is a mobo replacement.
My server doesn't have the diagnostics lights on the front, I guess there's an option to not have them according to the manual.
I stripped it down to two CPUs with one stick of RAM each and pulled the PCIe riser. It still will not turn on. When an ethernet cable is plugged in, the port gives me activity lights. The left light is solid amber and the right side is blinking green. Other than that and what I said in my previous post, nothing else lights up.
I took it down to the minimum like you said and it started right up! I slowly replaced parts and powered it on each time I added something and I was able to get all the original parts back in and it still works. I have no idea why this happened. Thank you all for your suggestions.
