PowerEdge R620 Not Detecting any SAS Drives

So I recently received a secondhand PowerEdge R620 but I cannot for the life of me get an OS installed to it (at least installed to an HDD). It came with two Hitachi SAS drives & while the LEDs do light up solid green & they do indeed spin when inserted, the server doesn't acknowledge either of them. I tried changing back & forth from AHCI to RAID mode. I tried going into the RAID setup to see if that would detect them, but literally nothing does, despite them being plugged in & being powered just fine. I flashed the BIOS to the latest version, but nope. I even booted a live Linux USB to see if it could detect them, but that didn't help either. I removed the RAID controller but that also did nothing. Any ideas?

Hello,

First of all, can you try power drain to discharge static electricity on the server? https://dell.to/2FS1F9A Are there any non-DELL approved parts on your second-hand R620 server? Are the drives DELL certified or may not be compatible with the R620? First of all you have updated the BIOS, this is good. Can you check the other PERC controller Backplane iDRAC and HDD FW updates of the server. Can you see the Disks in the BIOS or in the PERC menu where you can enter with CTRL + R while in AHCI mode? Other than that, can you see the disks under F2 System Setup> Integrated RAID Controller> during reboot? Are the disks in RAID mode or Non-RAID mode? To bring it in RAID mode, you can do F2 System Setup> Integrated RAID Controller> Configuration Management> Convert to Non-RAID Disk.
Apart from these, there may be many hardware malfunctions.
