PowerEdge R630: Will it be possible to upgrade or downgrade only the api version for X710 nics.
Hi Team, in PowerEdge R630 server, we are using intel X710 forvtville 10G, Intel support team suggested to check with dell as dell was the original manufacturer for this nic. Would like to know is there any possibility to upgrade or downgrade only the API version of specific nic(X710 forvtville 10G), Please share your comments. AFAIK, we can change it by changing the firmware, but looking for possibilities to upgrde/downgrade only api version. Thanks, Anki

Hello,
The only packages we have are drivers and firmware, I wouldn't expect there to be a way to have an API at rev X and a firmware at rev Y without having a custom firmware made. I'll definitely look into it, this is the first time I've encountered the question, but my expectation is no.
