PowerEdge T300 redundant PSU
Hello,
I have just acquired a T300 and it has two redundant PSUs.
Since I don't need redundancy, I would like to use only one at a time, is that possible?
Thanks.

Pvil,
It is possible to run on only a single power supply, one thing you must consider though is that to ensure proper system cooling, a power supply blank must be installed on the unoccupied power supply bay.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. I assume it is essentially a fan only, but I have not been able to find one. Can you provide part number or URL to further info?
Regards.

It is to prevent dust and bad airflow. I do not see it as an orderable part, if you leave the second power supply in but don’t plug it in that should be fine.

Thanks, I've tried that but the server complains and you get an amber LCD.
I would like to avoid that if possible.
