PowerEdge T310 memory upgrade questions and issues
Hello,
I'm currently running....
M391B5773DH0 - YH9 memory
DIMM DDR3 PC10600E(1333) UNBUF 1RX8 @ 4Gigs RAM
With....
Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X3460 @ 2.80GHz 2.79 GHz
I've tried doing a total memory upgrade kit for this server, and the server will not post nor has any video. The memory I tried is... 32GB Memory Upgrade Kit (2x16GB) 2RX4 PC3-10600R PC3.10600R.2x16GB.KIT.
Is the memory not working because my processor needs the PC3-10600R 2RX8 memory? Or can you suggest a memory kit that will work?

Are you replacing your old memory or trying to add to it?
You can't have registered/buffered and unregistered/unbuffered memory in the system at the same time.
