PowerEdge T320 - Driver Issue

Good Morning Everyone,

Currently I am running into an error when I am trying to install the OS on my Dell PowerEdge T320. I acquired this from a friend who could not figure it out. The sticker on the side of the unit has a CD key code for Windows Server 2012, which is what I am trying to install. My issue, I am trying to burn a disk with the correct drivers on it, to make the install as simple as possible, but cannot seem to figure out the correct file type that needs to be on the CD to be recognized via life cycle controller. It has given me multiple error codes, which i cross referenced on this site, pointing me in the direction of a OS driver missing. The unit has been factory defaulted, wiping all pre-installed drivers. I know this is a common issue, and I tried to read multiple threads before making my own, but cannot find the answer to my question. With this error, also comes the error of not being able to see a place to save a operating system(Hard Drive). The Hard drive has been setup via raid mode, physical and virtual disk is recognized. Any help to get this thing running would be greatly appreciated.

Which RAID controller do you have?

If the S110 (onboard SATA RAID), then turn it off and don't use it.

If the H310, H710, etc. then use this driver (extract it FIRST and put the contents in a Drivers folder on your installation media (USB is much easier).

https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER03636336M/1/SAS-RAID_Driver_120MK_WN64_6.805.03.00_A04.EXE

When you boot to the Windows install media, and it can't find hard drives to install to, browse to the Drivers folder to use those.

Use the latest ISO you can get for Server 2012 R2.

@theflash1932 I have the H710 Raid Controller. It is giving me the error code of SWC0015. I have extracted that file as you said, to a folder named Dell Drivers on my desktop (Main computer separately). I then formatted my USB drive and put the folder on the USB. Forgive me for my ignorance, but how do I actually get it to recognize the file on the USB and or am I doing this correctly? I booted the T320 up with a windows 7 64bit cd, just to get to that screen, is this what you are talking about or is this to be done through the lifecycle controller?

No, ignore the LCC for now.

Run the file on another machine and choose the option to Extract the files, then put those extracted files on your installation USB. When it can't find drives, click on Load Drivers, and browse to the folder where you put the EXTRACTED files … you cannot use the EXE file to actually load drivers during the install, they must be extracted first on another machine.
