It can be very annoying having a perfectly working server which shuts down on its own.
Was there any:
Information on the events?
Any significant hardware changes
Any significant software/driver/firmware changes
Previous issues or problems you had with the server
Performance being reduced or noticeable response issues
Status issues with your controller card or RAID or Disk setup?
Suggestions are:
The overall system, health check to be done
Check any log, information that can help from CMOS to Controller Card to OS Events
Think of (all) changes or known issues or problems you had with it in the last 3 months
The server does not just shutdown on its own for fun, something is happening to it and we need to investigate its root cause in order to find out a solution.
Let us know what you find out or know and we will try to help you out from there.
If we could, we would have used fairy dust which fixes everything but sadly we ran out of it.
