Poweredge T310 fans
I have a Poweredge T310 and I moved the mouse to "wake up" the server to set new backup schedules. When I did so the fans started roaring I would say at least 75%. The LED is saying the ambient temperature as been exceeded but the server is still pulling and blowing cold air. I updated the BIOS and the firmware for the EMS. When updating the firmware for EMS the fans slowed to normal for about 10 seconds and sped back up. I had replaced the motherboard and system fan both because I thought it may have been a bad sensor. I'm at a stand still at this point. Any other opinions?

Chris,
I sent you a private message. Thanks for the response. I made sure the heat sync was fully seated before turning the server back on. There was dust between the CPU and heat sync when I took it apart and have cleared the dust and applied new thermal paste.

Jferren,
Could you Private Message me the Svc Tag for the server? Also if you get a moment could you power down the server and then visually check to see if the Heat Sink screws are fully seated to the motherboard, or if there are any threads visible. Thank you.
Let me know what you see.

Are the pilings the heatsink screw into are they flush to the board as well?
