Poweredge T410: Power button no longer functioning and PSU test only gives max fan
I was running this server as normal and out of nowhere, ESXi goes into the purple screen with a motherboard nonmaskable interrupt and after a moment the server shuts off at max fan speed, and afterwards, pressing the power button does not do anything. I pressed the PSU test button and held it down. The server comes on at max fan speed, and no diagnostic lights on the front except the hard drive. If somebody could point at what exactly happened it'd be great, but as of now I'm looking at just replacing this thing.

Ntekniklaus,
Would you be able to confirm a couple things for me?
Is there an HBA installed on the server, if so what driver version is being used?
Is the server up to date?
Also, are you using Perccli?
Let me know.

Hello,
HBA is short for Host Bus Adapter. PERCCLI is PowerEdge Raid Controller Command Line Interface.

Hello. Sadly I'm not at the house right now and am getting new rack servers Friday.
Sorry, but I'm not too sure what HBA or PERCCLI is. Can you de-abbreviate those for me please?
The BIOS was updated to 1.14 which was the latest I found. This was a day or less before the server went down. The RAM was also a recent addition.

Ah, okay. I don't believe I ever had those enabled.

Hi,
Could you try this method. Remove the power cable and press hold the server power button for 15secs. Then install the power cable and try to turn on the server. Let me know the result.
