Poweredge T410 RAID 5 had a failed drive, replacement drive flagged as foreign--import or clear
I replaced a failed drive in a RAID 5 array, the new disk is detected as foreign--do I import or clear?
Is there a way to do this in the open manage server administrator?

Hello
The clear operation will delete virtual disk information from all disks in a foreign state on the controller. If it is still detected as foreign after performing a clear operation then the controller is having issues communicating with the drive. Yes, you can perform foreign configuration operations from OMSA.
