Problem when updating IDRAC on Dell M620

Good day!
When updating the idras blade M620 everything went smoothly. After the restart, the idrak became unavailable. In CMC PowerEdge M1000e status iDRAC "Update". When executing Reset iDRAC, the status changed to "IInitializing" Can you please tell me how you can recover?

We reloaded the blade in order to roll back and check the version and settings. Reboot completed, went to the settings, version iDRAC 2.61.60.60(last), the network settings are in place and correct. We left the settings (with thoughts of what is being corrected here), respectively, a reboot again, but this time the blade does not even turn on. The power button flashes green. Someone came across this, I ask for help.

Hello

It sounds like the update was interrupted or failed. The iDRAC is required for the blade to power on. If the iDRAC is not functional then you will need to replace the iDRAC. I think it is integrated into the system board, but you should verify that before replacing hardware. You can find documentation on the system support page.

http://www.dell.com/support/

Hardware updates are typically staged until a restart, and then after the restart they are applied. It sounds like you restarted(reset iDRAC) the iDRAC while it was in the update status. Whatever happened to cause the firmware to not initialize properly, the troubleshooting steps are the same. If the iDRAC fails to initialize you should attempt to update the iDRAC and BIOS firmware. Sometimes the iDRAC will initialize enough to allow a firmware update but not fully initialize. You can try a virtual/physical reseat of the blade to try to get the iDRAC to initialize.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Initialization iDRAC took place during the first reboot without a problem. We even went to the system settings, where we saw that it was updated to the latest version. The blade was in the "update" state for 3 days before the reboot. Now the problem is that it does not turn on (blade) the power button flashes green.Accordingly, we cannot run a re-update or rollback. iDRAC integrated into the motherboard, already tested. Only Board replacement? We have 2 such blades, one was removed from the chassis and installed, it does not even appear in the CMC, the second has not yet been removed.

Yes, it sounds like the iDRAC will need to be replaced. The CMC will not be able to power on the blade if the iDRAC is not functional.
