Question about adding disks to RAID 5
Hello,
Sorry if I'm asking the question in the wrong place.
I have question about adding disks to RAID5 on Dell PowerEdge T440 server. We want to add three drives to raid 5 to increase its capacity. What happens if one drive will failure when RAID5 will reconstructing? Will this cause data loss?

What you are requesting is referred to as an Online Capacity Expansion (OCE), which will allow you to add drives to an existing Virtual Disk to expand the capacity, as described here.
In the case of the Raid 5 drive failing during reconstruction, while I don't think it would occur, that is why I would always recommend getting a complete backup of the data before ever doing anything with the raid.
