R310 w/ i3-540 memory upgrade options

Hello, I have a poweredge R310 with an I3-540 which only accepts UDIMM modules.  Currently it has one 2GB module that I have tried replacing with similar specced modules, however it fails while loading the BIOS.  Any idea on a manufacture/model RAM module that will work in this thing?  Would be mighty handy to have more than 2GB in this thing.  Thanks

Hello

Yes, you can only use UDIMMs, maximum population would 16GB(4x4GB), and you can only populate UDIMMs in slots 1-4. You can add 3 more of the same DIMM you have. Here is a part number for a validated 4GB UDIMM:

T192H

I was not able to locate a retail kit that we sell for memory upgrades on the R310. That DIMM would have to be ordered through spare parts. If you contact sales they may be able to locate a retail kit for the R310.

Thanks
