R430 RAM upgrades - What type do I need?
So I'm looking to put two 16gb DDR4 sticks in an R430, but I'm a little confused. I know it needs registered, but when I look around I see stuff like 2400T, when I'm used to DDR3 listing like 10600R. Is 2400T registered and compatible in an R430 or do I need to look for 2400R or something else?

Hello,
If you have iDRAC access, I would navigate to Overview > Server > Hardware > Memory. This should give you the remaining memory details, so you can spec match. Alternatively, if these are the DIMMs that shipped from Dell, there should be a part number printed on them that you can use to identify a match. The support site, https://www.dell.com/support will also tell you what memory the system shipped with, if you provide your service tag to it.

Here are some samples of the memory that Dell sells demonstrating compatibility.
As for your question about the memory suffix - 2400R vs 2400T, that refers to the JEDEC standard. Wikipedia has a pretty detailed page on the subject. It's not something that I have previously kept track of for memory upgrades. I would recommend something that matches what we sell for the simplest use. 16GB DDr4 2400MHz (PC4-19200) dual rank 1.2v is what I am looking at.
