We would need to verify the server configuration, specifically the processors installed, as well as the model HBA, and the existing cards and locations. Short of knowing that I can't specify the riser in question, so I will give part numbers for them all.
Server is configured with dual E52630v4 processors and no other PCIe cards are installed but the Broadcom 5720 QP 1Gb Network Daughter Card (on riser 3)
The additional controller is a 12 GB SAS Host Bus Adapter (1HD39), low profile.
Given the server configuration (Chassis with up to 8) and the HBA format I think I need to use riser 1.
Just to report the solution to my question, I get a "DELL 330-BBCM - R630 PCIe Riser for up to 2 x16 PCIe Slots for x8 2 PCIe Chassis with 2 Processors CusKit", installed it on riser 1 and attached the SAS HBA to it.
It was successfully recognized during server startup.
Thank you, but I already have the riser 3. My question is, what is the riser 2 part number, which would allow me to use a low profile card (see attached pictures).
Now we have finally received the correct riser, but the PowerEdge H830 RAID controller does not work in Riser 2, although the card should be able to work with only 1 CPU, but with x8 link width - according to the following table:

Riser 1 - 6GG48 or 999FX
Riser 2 (x16) - CY3R8
Riser 2 (x8)- JR5D2
Riser 3 - 8KY74
Hope this helps.
Riser 4- KKVN7

Next step will be connecting it to a SCv2020

Hello,
I have a R630 server (single CPU, S/T removed per policy) supporting two PCIe expansion cards (1 half height, 1 full height).
I would like to install PERC H830 RAID Adapter (405-AAER) in the half height slot. Which riser do I need for this?
Thanks!

Would the Dell 330-BBCM be ok? Or is it for dual CPU systems only? I guess I should install the riser in the slot, marked with number 2?

Thank you. Which part number must I then purchase to install a low profile card? 330-BBCM/PJ0TD?

According to Expansion card installation guidelines:https://qrl.dell.com/Files/en-us/Html/Manuals/R630/Expansion%20card%20installation%20guidelines=GUID-CFFFFDB6-B72C-44F0-B2D1-4838B9E8EE8C=1=en-us=.html
for Systems supporting two PCIe expansion cards, low profile cards can only be installed in PCIe slot 1 (slot 2 is full height).
Will the above part number still support installing a low profile card?

Dear Mr. Odongo,
according to our local Dell, P/N CY3R8 is for R620. Can you confirm it is also for R630?
Thank you!

Now we have finally received the correct riser, but the PowerEdge H830 RAID controller does not work in Riser 2, although the card should be able to work with only 1 CPU, but with x8 link width - according to the following table:
https://media.dustin.eu/media/195731/poweredge-r630.pdf, page 80
Do we need to change some BIOS settings, replace the potentially faulty riser, or buy another CPU?
Thanks!

But this is riser 2. Doesn't it support a single cpu too?

Hello,
I am digging out thsi thread as I would need a second R630 PCI-E RISER BOARD fr a riser fitted with only CPU.
From what I understand of the previous discussion, I would need P/N JR5D2.
Could you confirm whether this board is still available for sale from Dell?
Thank you,
Regards.
