Hi, i had the chance to been in direct contact with a member of the dell support team and had a meeting on teems and we found the problem.
the solution is instead of assigning the VlanID on the server from the Bios setup (life cycle) we should assign the VlanID on the port/interface on the host (in my case kali linux) via CLI like viconfig or creating a static vlan in /etc/network/hosts.
Tips for people could face the same problem, make sure that SFP not only the same type but also the same speed (10G or 25G etc...) but this also wasn't my problem but we had a doubt about it in the beginning.
Hi, i can't remove vlan on NIC i need it to corespondents to others device in my network
And How the problem it could in the normal SFP type if i eliminated already this fear by using electric SFP to RJ45 converter (in the server side its RJ45 and in the Switch side is SFP) ?
Please send a me a list of dell suggested SFP type so i can buy it ?
Hi, thnks again, i tried also to switch back to another dell server serie R640 with Centis OS and i still have the same problem. Ping on ports "destination host unreachable" .
And about SFP on the server sude am using dell/intell SR SFP.
In my configuration in the server, i can see the port is up and i assigned to it an IP address in the same range/subnet of the devices that am trying to ping it.
Can i connect dell server directly to a computer or any other devices have tcp/ip stack not to a switch ?
Can you please tell me the setup i should done on both party to make the ping work in case (server directly connected to a computer) ?

Hello,
it is not directly supported by Dell, because OS is not supported and there are third party hardware.
Anyway did you tried to remove VLANs and check if ping works?
Which SFP are you using? Probably the SFP you are using is not compatible with the NIC.
Let's see if other customer can help on this.
Thanks
Marco

Hi, yes you can directly connect the servers. Also we need to know what kind of SFP and what cable you are using to help you further.
