R710 and UPS configuration

I tried to search trough forum but I found no topic - if I'm wrong, tell me

I have R710 installed in a small company I am working with and they have sometimes outages (they notified someone who can manage this problem "soon", but this is not priority and they have problems), so they want to be protected by UPS. Problem is that UPS is working properly itself, but... they want to start "shutdown procedure" when it happens.

They have PowerWalker 1500 as an UPS but USB connection is good for PCs, not server...

Is it possible to solve this problem in immediate way? Or they can not do anything to force shutdown?

R710 has 6.6.0 BIOS, there is installed ESXi 6.7 on it and two VMs with Windows systems.

Hello

The UPS' we sell use USB as well, I think. The UPS should come with some type of management software. You install that software in the operating system and configure the shutdown options there. When the UPS is running on battery power it can notify the application. The application can then perform whatever shutdown operations you have it configured. We also sold UPS' that had optional network management cards, I'm not sure if they were able to perform the battery power notifications to the UPS software through the network. You should check the documentation on your UPS to see how it is supposed to be configured.

Thanks
