R710 memory configuration
Hi Everyone,
I have a problem in upgrading and adding additional memory. I currently have 6 4gb 2R dimms installed, one on each white tab A1,A2,A3,B1,B2,B3. I want to add two 16GB 2R DIMMS but dont know where to stick them. maybe second slot A1 and B1?

2 DIMMs would not be a supported configuration. You can try the DIMMs in slot 4 on both lanes, but the DIMMs are supposed to be installed in pairs; which means that when you have 2 CPUs you must install a minimum of 4 DIMMs because both lanes must match.
In order to run a supported configuration you should buy 2 more DIMMs and install them in slots 4,5 on both lanes.
