R720 centos 7.4 network drivers

Hello all,

I need help trouble shooting a network problem.  I'm no linux guru but I've learned a few commands now.  I've installed centOS 7.4.1708 on two servers, one in March and the second just last month. I've done some firmware updates and my iDrac inventory shows server 1 has a QLogic 577xx/578xx 10 Gb Ethernet BCM57800 14.07.06 and server 2 has Broadcom NetXtreme II 10 Gb Ethernet BCM57800 7.8.16.  So, our second step is to check network driver issues.  I ran the command # dmesg | grep -i ethernet on server 1 and got bnx2x: Broadcom NetXtreme II 5771x/578xx 10/20-Gigabit Ethernet Driver bnx2x 1.78.17-0 (2013/04/11).  When I ran the command on server 2, it did not show anything.  I've downloaded Qlogic Linux Binary Drivers for Network and Fibre Channel Adapters but there are E3_E4/QC folders and RHEL7 U1/U2 folders.

Am I looking at the right drivers?  What folder is what? Let me know.

Thanks.

Hello

What is the network issue you are experiencing?

Broadcom re-branded a lot of their networking products as Qlogic. It looks like you have the same card in both systems, but the one listed as Broadcom is running old firmware. I suggest going to the support page of the server and locating the firmware that the other server is running. Verify that the card is the same and update the firmware. That may resolve whatever network issue you are experiencing.

Both servers query's a sql database that usually takes 10 or so seconds. Server 1 has begun taking 20-30 minutes to complete.

Do you know if I got the right driver download?
