R740 not saving BIOS/iDRAC settings
I have a R740 which I want to configure in particular way.
I connect directly (VGA, keyboard, mouse) and I go to System Setup. I go and configure the iDRAC - network, NIC, etc.
Everything works except saving VLAN tagging for iDRAC networking. I set it to "Enabled", I set the number, I save, restart, open System Setup again and it is Disabled. The same process has worked for the rest of the servers. I tried resetting all config to default.
Any ideas how I can set it or why it is not saved?

Hi, is this the first time you’re VLAN tagging? Or It has worked previously and this time it doesn’t? I’d recommend updating idrac as well as NIC firmware.

Hi, it is not the first time I am doing that. Client has more than 100 units mix R730 R640 R740 and so far it has worked on every single one ot them except this particular R740. I tried to update the BIOS and iDRAC and that didnt help. I will also update the NIC firmware.
