You'll want to first move to a supported processor configuration. This would mean either 1 processor and 1 bridge, 2 processors and 2 bridges, or 4 processors. The documentation indicates that the config you have will allow the server to start, but I think you'd end up opening the door to issues. In addition, the smallest supported configuration I see in the manual is a 4 DIMM configuration.
Page 100 of the owner's manual will get into the details of memory support. Page 102 starts a chart of supported configurations. This section of the manual should be of use to you.
