R900 CMOS battery

Hi all,

i have an R900, in idrac the CMOS is healthy and in OMSA it is critical,

updated to latest idrac and bios, unsure what else to try to find out which is the true reading. i have replaced the battery twice and still error remains.

Hello

I would start by making sure it is reporting the CMOS and not a RAID/PERC battery issue. Many of the reporting applications use the logs to report issues. If you have resolved an issue and it continues to be reported then you may need to clear the logs to get it to stop being reported. I suggest saving the logs for your records before clearing them. I would clear all of the hardware and iDRAC/LCC logs.

You can also pull a controller/TTY log if you have a PERC that supports logging. You can review that log for any battery errors to help determine if there is a PERC battery issue.

Thanks
