RACADM reboot a M640 into BIOS system setup?

Hi everyone,

is there a iDRAC RACADM coomand to reboot a M640 into BIOS system setup only one time?

Something like:

racadm set BIOS.OneTimeBoot.OneTimeBootMode SystemSetup (or something like this)

I've to configure hundreds of blades and I need to reboot all of them to BIOS easily.

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

I would like to find the specific RACADM command to change this paramter "MAX PF MSI-X VECTORS" in NIC settings > Device level configuration. Please find below a picture from the system setup.

Is it possible?

Thanks

Graziano

Graziano_grub,

First question - The command looks to be on page 163 here, it appears to be cfgServerFirstBootDevice where you can set the value of one of these devices;

• Normal
• PXE
• HDD
• DIAG
• CD-DVD
• BIOS
• vFDD
• VCD-DVD
• FDD
• SD
• F10
• F11
• UEFIDevicePath
• UEFIHttp

As far as the second question, would you confirm the Qlogic firmware version for me? I ask as it looks like 08.07.25 is required to add the ability to change Max PF MSI-X Vector values.

Let me know.

Hello Christ,

thank you for your answer.

About the 1st question, it looks like cfgServerFirstBootDevice set the first boot device permanently, I was searching for a command to set it only one time, as you can do from remote console pressing the button "boot" and selecting BIOS. After the second reboot, server will start normally.

Should I do something like this?

racadm config -g cfgServerInfo -o cfgServerBootOnce 1

racadm config -g cfgServerInfo -o cfgServerFirstBootDevice BIOS

racadm serveraction powercycle

For the second question, we have a older Qlogic fw, so that's the answer I was searching for.

Anyway, if we upgrade, what should be the right command to modify that parameter?

Thank you again.

Hi Chris,

we updated Qlogic fw version to 08.07.25, but I cannot find the RACADM command to modify the Max PF MSI-X Vector values. I'm able to do it only manually by entering the BIOS system setup.

Thanks
