Running Server Update Utility (SUU) on empty R610 server.
Hi , im trying to get my old R610 updated.
After multiple tests and research, realized that 11 gen servers do not support online update.
Also , seems that best option is to run SSU package.
This is what I have tryed so far
1
Downloaded the support Live Image 2.2 (for gen 9 to 11).
Burned into usb stick using "rufus" software.
boot my server with this usb. It starts a centos7 with gnome enviroment.
2
Downloaded the following iso file:
https://dl.dell.com/FOLDER04740667M/1/SUU-LIN32_17.12.200.229.ISO
Then burned it into usb stick using "iso to usb" software.
3
Open usb on SLI sistem and try to run as described here:
https://www.dell.com/support/article/es-es/sln285500/dell-emc-server-update-utility-suu-gu%C3%ADa-y-descarga?lang=es
After trying to exec ./Suu-g
System yelds I dont have permission , even trying to run after doing sudo su.
4 Trying from lifecycle interface (running from F10 on my sistem).
selecting update platfrom , usb , and filling with "\repository"
system yelds "no update abailable"
Even I checked that repository folder is there.
Thats all.
Please provide detailed steps to complete this task , I dont know what else to try.
Leandro.
