there is no any public list to check all parts, we have internal tool to see which part compatibility.
If you go in the support site and enter the service tag, then you will have all parts of your system anyway.
About the cables, i supposed as you said that power cables are one for GND and the other for +5V. But we don't know the details and specifications of this cable, sorry.
So it looks like C4GFV has a slimline sata power connector. That could be useful. But there are only two cores going to that connector, a black one and a red one. Are those GND and +5V? Is there a pinout specification for the ODD power connector?
When you say C4GFV is listed for R540, is there a publicly available list of all parts and/or cables for R540? Or is there somewhere I can input my service tag and get a complete list for my machine?

Ok, so the DPN FGVG3 it is only shown as compatible with the T330 and T430. And the DPN GP700 onlt for the R710. I don't think they are compatible.
The only ODD Power cable listed for the R540 is the DPN C4GFV - ODD power cable, from MB to ODD, R540. I am attaching a picture.
