Has to do with your memory. Clear the ESM logs and then run the MPMemory diagnostics. If a module fails, swap it with another and run the diagnostics again to verify if it follows the module or the slot.

The ESM logs are the Hardware logs when you click on System, then the Logs tab.  Before clearing them, make a note of which DIMM is showing the error.  The reason you clear the logs before the diagnostics is because if there are memory errors, the will abort the diagnostic.

What is your BIOS at?

The above instructions are for OpenManage Server Administrator.  If you don't have it installed, go to support.dell.com, enter your Service Tag or model, and download it from the Systems Management section.  It will be OpenManage Server Administrator (Managed Node).

Which DIMM reported the SBE Log Disable?

Well, I don't know what a PCS is or why you wouldn't be able to install OMSA, so here are some other options:

Run DSET and clear the log (DSET does not need to be "installed", can simply be run from the MSI - choose option to Clear/Gather):

32-bit Diagnostics (there is a built in command that will clear memory error or the entire log, don't remember the command right off - maybe someone here can help us on this one - handy, since you will be running this to test the memory any way):

OMSA Live!  (boot to this CD, open OMSA, clear hardware/ESM logs):

Or, you can simply reseat the memory (preferably swap with another DIMM while reseating) and hope it doesn't return.  If it does, replace the DIMM (if it followed it to the new slot), or replace the motherboard if the same slot gives the error.

Hi,

Thanks for the information.

We are not sure which DImm reported the fault, however the diagnostic returned no errors to the memory.

We replaced all 4GB in the affected Server.

PCS, is our Process Control System, it is not recommended to install Server Management software on these servers.

We will give it a try tomorrow, thanks again.

Regards.
