T620 Cannot See BIOS, UEFI or Boot Menu

I have a T620 PowerEdge Server that has run flawlessly for years.

I started getting a Lifecycle Controller Update Required message on POST and it directed me to press F2 to enter the System Setup.  I did this, System Setup starts to load and...nothing.  I get a black, blank screen.  There appears to be a signal because the monitor detects the correct input and never drops into a power saving mode but I can't see anything. I also tried F11 for the boot device selection and get the same thing.

The POST, boot process messages, Windows logon and OS loading are fine.  I just can't see anything related to the BIOS/UEFI or Boot Device selection.  It's very frustrating as I can't clear or troubleshoot the Lifecycle Controller issue.

I have tried a different connection type (DVI vs HDMI) and a different monitor but results are the same. I am using a low-power 3rd-party graphics adapter (eVGA 1050 TI) but I've run this and other 3rd party display adapters with no previous issues.  Not sure what's changed.

I am holding off clearing the NVRAM and reverting to the on-board Matrox Millennium as I don't what other issues that may cause.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Have you tried accessing to F10 Lifecycle controller? Or during POST, if there is any errors showing on lifecycle controller other than the update required status? Do you have iDRAC access?

Try, shutting the server. Remove the power cable. Press and hold the power button for 15secs. Install back the power cable and try accessing BIOS.

There is a previous post https://dell.to/2XU9SiJ probably may help you.
