Update PERC 6/i firmware on 2900 with 2008 64bit
I am trying to upgrade the PERC 6 firmware on a 2900 to the latest version. I am running Windows 2008 Server 64 bit os. When I run the fw update, it complains that the update will not run on a 64 bit OS. What is the best way to update this fw?

Is this the update package you are attempting to run?
The package is the same regardless of whether it is running on a 32-bit or a 64-bit OS.
If that doesn't work, you might consider downloading the Hard-Drive version of the firmware or even using SBUU/SUU to update the firmware from outside the OS (very large downloads though).

Sorry to waste time. Found instructions for creating a bootable USB to do the update - in the release notes - will give that a try this evening
