Very slow file unzipping

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but here goes.

 

As the title says, my 400sc has been very slow at unzipping files.  Small files, that take normal computers 5-10 seconds to unzip takes mine nearly 2 minutes.  I've using the built-in WinXP unzipper as well as WinZip and both are equally slow.

 

So far I've run tests on the cpu, the ram, and the hard drive, and all have passed.  The problem has only surfaced recently, about a month ago.  I've tried reinstalling WinXP SP2 on a different hard drive (but the rest of the system is the same) and the unzipping is still extremely slow.  I haven't found any other problems with the computer (runs games and everything else fine, only problem is the file unzipping).

 

Anyone ever experience this problem too?

2 GB ram

40GB Hard disk
