dellr620 booting into windows server 2008r2 automatically

hello all, i have a dell r620 with a raid configured , aswell as windows 2008r2 installed. but i cant get it to boot from windows automatically. Any Suggestions?

What does it do? You probably need to do a startup repair.

i have the raid with the OS installed selected as the boot device in the bios boot manager. which results in a no boot device error. now if i press F11 , and manually choose the raid controller in the boot device menu , it boots into windows with no issues. which doesnt make sense to me ? any clarification would be appreciated!
