explorer.exe crashes when viewing network settings
Hi there
Please help me. All i want to do is add an IP address to the network card.
All of a sudden the network setting window keeps crashing.
When ever i go to look at the network properties the system hangs then reloads the desktop. I have looked in the event view but all the is that the explorer.exe unexpectedly terminated.
Any ideas before i remove the network drivers and start again.
Also how do i stop the network properties from disappearing after about 2 days of up time. I have to reboot the machine and the options appear agian.

Same problem here !
Winlogon crashes when viewing nic properties, we have this problem since installation of SP4.
For the invisiblity you have to install a SNMP update SNMPAg32.
Anyone ?

The problem had bugged me for days. So i uninstalled the network card and disabled it (also removed the network cable).
Rebooted the machine and canceled the PnP found new hardware. Did a manual install (found drivers on Intels web site), put all the network settings back rebooted with the cable in and it works fine now.
If you have the Intel card then don't use the update for the driver on microsofts web site.

Thanx for the info, but I've about 50 de-central servers with this problem,
so I want to exactly know the problem and how to solve it instead of
re-installing the NICs.
