iDRAC 7 - Unable to use local licence installation tool. .iso

Hi,

I have downloaded the Dell .iso to locally instal an iDRAC 7 enterprise licence onto a PowerEdge R220.

All the drivers have been updated using the .iso updater and all other settings have been set to default on the BIOS.

Please see the attached photo of where in the process of running the licence tool, it freezes and hangs until a hard reset is carried out.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Dell iDRAC.jpg

I'm not sure what .ISO you're referencing. Is this support live?

As for loading an iDRAC Enterprise license on a 12G, you can do it by command line in the OS (provided OMSA is installed), or in the iDRAC web GUI itself.  If you want to import from the OS, the syntax is as follows:

racadm license import -f (license filename and extension) -c idrac.embedded.1

All sorted thank you.

I did not realise that you could activate the iDRAC port on the BIOS and then get into GUI. I am very new to this so teaching myself as I go along. Thanks for your help.
