iDRAC Service Module cannot send email for alerts

Question

Hi, I installed iDRAC service module on the server PE T620 and it seems working well to show the hardware status. I want to make it send emails for some alerts such as hard drive issue.When I set the SMTP server setting and test the email function, it always pops up an error of 'RAC0225: Sending the test mail failed.' May be the network setting of iDRAC is not correct. It shows the IP address as 192.168.0.120, but the LOM1’s IP address is actually 192.168.2.230 that is used by the host. I am not sure how to make it work. We have a SMTP service running on the same server. Thanks for any help.

QiTech,  I would suggest that you install OpenManage Essentials, then you can use this guide to configure it.  Let me know how it goes.
