iDRAC7 in R720: German keyboard layout in virtual console, but need US layout
For some reason or other, the iDRAC7 virtual console in our R720 uses a German (QWERTZ) layout. While that would indeed be correct from a geographical location standpoint, all our admins use US layout (QWERTY) keyboards and find the forced German layout terribly annoying.
Is there any way to convince iDRAC to actually stay with a US layout?

Hello
The keyboard layout is dependent on the system you are connecting to. If you are connecting the virtual console to an operating system that has a keyboard layout set to German then the console will match that layout so that it can pass commands to the OS. The virtual console tries to mimic a direct connection, so the keyboard of the virtual console will behave similarly to a keyboard directly connected to the system.
