m1000e Chassis Alerts via email
Hi,
We wish to stop a specific Critical email alert, which we have been seeing a lot since updating to version 5 of the firmware on a few chassis (but not all).
The alert is "Event Message: Chassis management controller (CMC) redundancy is lost."
I have unticked the following under Alerts/Chassis Events and hit Apply and OK, but this alert still comes through if I then pull out the active cmc:
Audit/Chassis Management Controller/Critical
System Health/Chassis Management Controller/Critical
System Health/Redundancy/Critical
As said above, unchecking all three of the above and pulling out the active CMC will cause the email alert to still be sent.
- What needs to be unchecked to stop this specific email alert?
Thx,
John Bradshaw

Hi Josh,
No, We are getting alerts in the middle of the night and through the day quite randomly. We just want this particular alert to stop, but as mentioned above, we cannot work out what combination of the alert table is necessary to uncheck.
The alert is coming through as Critical. All Warning alerts were unchecked some time ago.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi John,
Is it only showing the redundancy lost when you are pulling the CMC or is it doing it randomly? Try changing the alert settings for warning as well.
