RoosterX1,

There is a couple things to figure out. Is there a raid controller in the server, if so which one is installed?

Also, if there is a raid controller have you already configured a Virtual Disk?

If those are addressed then it would be a question of the driver that needs to be loaded for the OS install to see the Virtual Disk. If that is the case you can download and burn this ISO to disk and boot to it before the OS media. Build and Update Utility - http://dell.to/1Ak3RMW

Lastly, if you let me know the controller model I can get you the link to directly load the driver during the install as well.

Let me know what you find.

Which RAID controller?
What model of SATA HDD?
Which Linux distro?

You likely are using a Linux distro that does not have drivers for the controller, OR you are using a controller that does not support non-RAID.
