r720 motherboard replacement

I have a bricked iDrac module on a Poweredge r720. I have attempted to update the firmware on it using a multitude of current/older versions of the firmware and all attempts were unsuccessful. It was determined that the motherboard needs to be replaced based on research form this forum and others alike. Is there any additional steps or things to take into consideration before performing the swap? Mostly in reference to iDrac licensing. I cannot access the iDrac settings in bios or system config and the web portal is not accessible since iDrac fails to initialize. We were running the Express version and I was unsure if there was a license file that could, or needed to be, pulled and configured once the new board is it. The motherboard that would be purchased as a replacement has matching ID 020HJ.

Any advice or information is incredibly helpful. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for choosing Dell. Could you refer to this?

PowerEdge R720 will have express license by default. So new motherboard iDRAC will also have express license for iDRAC
