t310 memory config

Hi All,

Looking to upgrade the memory in my t310. The t310 currently has two Kingston modules installed (KTD-PE310Q8/8G), but I'm shooting for a total of 32GB of installed memory.

Which is the most price conservative option to reach 32GB given my current configuration? Replacing the current modules is of course an option - could I switch to unbuffered or continue with registered but use 16GB modules instead?

Best regards.

Fredrik

This server will not support 16gb memory, so your best option is to use 4 x 8gb RDIMM's to get to 32gb of RAM on this server.  use the following part number:

K075P
8GB RDIMM 1066 (QuadRank)

Hi Geoff,

Thanks for taking the time! I have trouble procuring the original spare part. Is there a third-party alternative available that I could use instead? Kingston seem to have a selection RDIMM 8GB modules with different characteristics - all seem to clock in at 1600MHz and above though.

Are (any of) these kits possible to use with the t310 server, or could someone point me to other vendors that offer the compatible 8GB RDIMM modules?

Thanks!

Fredrik
