Hi,

The error messages you are receiving may indicate there is a cabling issue inside the box. OR it could be a true hardware failure. I will provide links to the System Documentation and the latest downloads.

FYI, this computer is almost 9 years old (shipped with MS-DOS 6.2), if replacement parts are needed, I doubt we will still have any in stock.

Hi,

Unfortunately, in todays world, there is not much this old machine can do. You could upgrade with a second 90MHz processor and with up to 512Mb of ram using 64Mb SIMMs.

This system was not designed to use IDE drives, but it does have an IDE controller. This controller will not support todays large IDE drives, you would have to get an old drive less than 540Mb. Further there is no place to conventionally mount an IDE drive.

The XE 590-2 was validated with MS-DOS and Windows NT 3.5. NT 4.0 and Windows 95 "might" run on it, but I do not believe any of the new Operating Systems will be able to install.
